Explaining Play-to-Earn and Rewards per Game Modes

How can you earn money playing Starcraft 2? Does a play to earn mode exist for Starcraft 2?

The play-to-earn payments for Starcraft 2 from Gamebeef are only rewarded for ranked games. The table shows the amount of money players can earn per match based on their rank and the game mode they are playing. The rewards are only given to players who win, and if a player loses, their reward is deflated by an additional 50%.

The table is divided into columns for each game mode (1v1, 2v2, 3v3, and 4v4) and rows for each rank (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Master, and Grandmaster). The percentage in parentheses next to each rank represents the percentage of players in that rank.

For example, if a player is ranked in the top 50% of Bronze players in a 1v1 game, they will earn $0.00075 for winning the match. If they lose, their reward will be deflated by an additional 50%, so they will earn $0.000375.

Similarly, if a player is ranked in the top 20% of Platinum players in a 3v3 game, they will earn $0.0012 for winning the match, but if they lose, their reward will be deflated to $0.0006.

The only exception to this pattern is for Master and Grandmaster ranks, where players earn a flat reward of $0.0015 for winning a match, regardless of the game mode they are playing.

  1. You need to have a Battle.net account and their latest client installed in your computer in order to play this game. If you haven’t done so yet, create your account and download the client from the official website.
  2. You need to sign up in gamebeef, sync and verify your gamertag. Your gamertag is your Starcraft 2 username. Once verified, play matches in any of the following game modes:
    • Each game mode will yield different rewards based on its difficulty.
    • Custom or event matches will not be counted.
    • Matches with too many bots or AI will not be counted.
  3. Only wins will be rewarded with $$. Losses will not. This is because we want players to compete against each other in terms of their win rates, rewarding the best professional players over casual players or players who have lower win rates.
